Build tools, not content

Everyone with an AI subscription is flooding the internet with articles. I think that is the wrong move.

An article competes with ten thousand others saying the same thing. A conduit fill calculator competes with maybe five sites, most of them built in 2011 and painful to use on a phone.

Tools get used again. Nobody bookmarks a blog post. But an electrician who finds a wire size calculator that actually works comes back to it on the next job. And the one after that.

I still write articles. But they exist to point at the tools. The article is the sign on the road. The tool is the place people are driving to.
